About

Julie Brown has worked in legal technology for over 30 years. She works closely with attorneys to solve business problems in her role as the Director of Practice Technology at Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease. Julie leads a team of accomplished legal technologists and is passionate about the convergence of law, technology and leadership.

She is the Director of Practice Technology at Vory, Sater, Seymour and Pease where she has served for over 20 years. In her current role she works closely with attorneys and clients to identify and deliver innovative solutions. Her primary areas of focus include eDiscovery, artificial intelligence, data analytics and automation. Julie started her career in 1987 as a paralegal in a small firm. Prior to Vorys she worked for 10 years in a Fortune 500 Corporate law department as an Operations Leader. These combined experiences provide a unique perspective on the business of law and the correlation of technology.

Julie is active in coordinating litigation technology education opportunities for the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA). She served as the Conference Co-Chair for ILTACon 2019-2020 and currently serves on the ACEDs Global Advisory Board. In 2011 Julie received ILTA’s Distinguished Peer Award for Litigation and Practice Support. She is a certified E-Discovery Specialist (CEDS) and is certified in various eDiscovery software platforms, the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Prosci’s Change Management Program and Lean Six Sigma.
