About

Michele Lieberman joined the Alachua County Attorney’s Office in 2014 as County Attorney. Ms. Lieberman is currently on the Board of Directors for the Florida Association of County Attorneys, is a member of the Executive Council of the City, County and Local Government Law Section of the Florida Bar and is Secretary of the Eighth Judicial Circuit Bar Association. Board Certified in City, County and Local Government Law since 2005, Ms. Lieberman is a former Chair of the City, County and Local Government Law Certification Committee of the Florida Bar. She has also served terms on the Fifth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission, Fifth Circuit Grievance Committee, and is a past president of the Citrus County Bar Association and past president of the Citrus-Hernando Inn of Court.

Ms. Lieberman began her legal career as a prosecutor with the Florida Fifth Circuit State Attorney’s Office, followed by the Citrus County Attorney’s Office. While at the Citrus County Attorney’s Office, she was the primary in-house litigator and served as the office’s Chief Assistant County Attorney during the latter part of her tenure. After a decade in government service, Ms. Lieberman ventured into private practice, representing primarily government and corporate clients. Her immediate past position was as General Counsel, Human Resources Administrator and Corporate Secretary to Technology Conservation Group, Inc., an asset management and electronics recycling company with processing facilities in the United States and Mexico.
