Circuit Judge - Florida's Tenth Judicial Circuit (Retired)
Ralph Artigliere was Circuit Judge for the 10th Judicial Circuit for seven years following a 24-year career as a trial lawyer handling primarily medical malpractice and product liability cases. Artigliere was Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by The Florida Bar and was the 2008 “Florida Board Certified Lawyer of the Year.” He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. He received the prestigious 2006 Hoeveler Award for professionalism as a jurist from the Florida Supreme Court Committee on Professionalism. Currently Artigliere teaches civil procedure, case management, eDiscovery, evidence, and professionalism to judges and lawyers nationally. He is the Editor of a five volume LexisNexis Practice Guide on Florida Civil Trial practice and the co-author (with Prof. William Hamilton) of a LexisNexis book on Florida eDiscovery and Evidence. Artigliere has been a chapter author and advisor for all updates of the Florida Trial Lawyers Handbook on Civil Discovery since 2005. He is active in The Sedona Conference and helped create their annual program on effective negotiation in civil discovery. As an arbitrator and mediator, Artigliere handles primarily medical malpractice, nursing home, and other complex cases.
