Event Participation Guidelines

These Event Participation Guidelines outline expectations for everyone joining the UF Law E-Discovery Conference, whether in person or online. We ask all participants to help create a welcoming, respectful environment where people can exchange ideas, share practical knowledge, and learn from one another.

These event participation guidelines apply to attendees, speakers, sponsors, volunteers, and staff, both in person and online.

We ask everyone to:

  • Be courteous. Treat others with respect. Welcome different perspectives and keep disagreements focused on ideas, not individuals.
  • Participate thoughtfully. Ask questions, share experiences, and make space for others to contribute, including those new to the field.
  • Respect personal boundaries. Harassment, discrimination, bullying, intimidation, and unwelcome personal attention are not acceptable.
  • Keep online interactions relevant. Use conference chats and discussion spaces for constructive conversation. Avoid spam and repeated unsolicited promotional messages.
  • Follow event and venue guidance. Cooperate with event staff and promptly address any request to stop inappropriate behavior.

If you experience or observe behavior inconsistent with these guidelines, please contact the conference team at mailto:info@ufediscoveryconference.com. For concerns requiring immediate attention during the in-person conference, speak directly with event staff.
