As a prelude to the 6th Annual E-Discovery Conference, the University of Florida Levin College of Law is again sponsoring E-Discovery CareerFest. Our second annual CareerFest responds to the growing interest of law students in exploring career paths that involve electronic discovery and data analytic skills.
UF Law’s E-Discovery CareerFest brings to campus electronic discovery, data, and AI specialists from law firms, major legal service providers, and Fortune 100 companies to discuss e-discovery career paths with students. The E-Discovery CareerFest goal is to provide a window into this emerging world and offer the personal experiences of seasoned practitioners to allow students to explore whether e-discovery and data analytics offers a future that meets their skills, interests and passions. CareerFest will also provide networking opportunities that may lead to further and richer contacts such as shadowing, site visits, externships, internships, and post-graduation employment.
CareerFest is an informal event with no dress code. Students are encouraged to meet, hang-out with, ask questions and generally explore with our campus guests whether e-discovery and data analysis career paths are for them. Our visitors will want to hear about student interests and what students want in their legal careers. CareerFest is an opportunity for law students to network with e-discovery legal professionals to see how e-discovery and data analysis can be part of their future.
A full agenda will be published shortly, but CareerFest will commence at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, March 28th in the Chesterfield Smith Ceremonial Classroom (180).
